Beside the fact that Gucky’s handbag got nicked out of the car in Marseille, it was a very nice trip that I would love to repeat (minus the mugging, of course).

I will upload more high resolution pictures on my flickr stream and also plan to cut a short video when I have some time.

We where at a local tyre shop to compare prices before taking the Land Rover back over to Austria. I was discussing available tyre types and dimensions with the owner of the shop. Afterwards another Irish man who was around the shop and examined our car in the meanwhile asked me: “What number plate is that?”
“An Austrian one.” I replied.
He looked puzzled for a second and then asked: “What is a English bloke doing with an Austrian Land Rover?”

Well, to the most lads over here, this would have been an insult, but I felt quite flattered. When I arrived her the first time, the cab driver asked me: “And where from the States are you from?” And I wasn’t quite sure what to make out of that.
