talking about eggs

Just something that came up before I left to Austria after Easter. This kind of shows what Easter-Eggs in Ireland look like.

Mars or Cadbury chocolate eggs in all kind of shapes and sizes, but all made of Chocolate.

Now in Austria the Osterei (Easter-Egg) is in most cases a hard boiled and coloured egg, some of them even hand painted. Yes you can get chocolate eggs in the supermarket, but the selection is far smaller then what you will find in Ireland during that season. Usually the Easter-Bunny is a chocolate one these day’s, traditionally it used to be a cake. One could say that the following picture represents a typical modern Austrian Osternest.

An Osternest is a little nest that usually includes some Easter-Eggs and Chocolate and is hidden for the children to find.

One thing puzzles me, if all the Easter-Eggs over here are out of chocolate, how does one Eierpecken?
