Mine or Retro's?

I have around 10 friends who actually speak chinese. I would consider half of them as native speakers. And 2 of them as very close friends.

Oh well, yes. Chinese is the most spoken language on earth. English is only on position two. However, English is wider spreaded and keep in mind that - according to google - 300 mio Chinese can also speak English.

Even if all of this might be very interesting, it wasn't my point. The point I made was, and I quote: "However, some of my friends do not speak German, yet all of my friends should, at least in theory, be able to understand basic English."

"Nun ja, es gibt ca. 100 Millionen Menschen, die Deutsch als Muttersprache haben, gegenüber 1 Milliarde die der englischen Sprache mächtig sind."

GERMAN: Dumpfes Argument, da musst dann gleich in Chinesisch schreiben.

ENGLISH: Stupid argument, you should write in Chinese instead.
